We brought in the Deuter Freerider Lite SL (Short Length) 18 L adult ski backpack for those people looking for a small and light day touring ski pack, but more specifically we brought it in because of the short length. The shorter length means it works great for youth, and we found the Freerider series of ski packs to be one of the most affordable packs that fit youth and can carry skis. The removable ski carry system is simple and helps out if there is a short ski carry section on your route, or you have to walk down the road to your vehicle or the trailhead.
